Overview

As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will focus on ensuring product compliance with food regulations. You will lead the effort to interpret regulatory requirements, create compliance documentation, gain alignment with government agencies, and support the business in launching products that meet all legal requirements. Get ready to help protect the company's market access by developing and implementing regulatory strategies with the Kellanova North American Regulatory team.

Driving Value Creation — Drive regulatory solutions for Compliance and Product Launch initiatives through the delivery of thorough, high-quality regulatory assessments and labeling specifications through effective team collaboration and alignment.

Network and Policy Support - Support our product portfolio through expert knowledge to provide regulatory solutions and troubleshooting for compliance challenges. Lead the monitoring, evaluation, and interpretation of changing food regulations and new policies. Leverage regulatory skills to improve compliance processes and deliver business results.

Leading with a Compliance Focus - Demonstrate regulatory and business leadership within cross-functional teams while supporting the company philosophy and direction. Engage with internal customers, Global Regulatory Leaders, and Government Affairs in the evaluation to provide the best regulatory solutions to meet legal and business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, law, or related field with 5 years of regulatory affairs experience.

  • Promote good regulatory practices and comprehensive compliance approaches.

  • Capable of interpreting food regulations, preparing regulatory submissions, and developing compliant labeling based on jurisdictional requirements.

  • Understand FDA, USDA, and international food regulations.

  • Execute regulatory projects with other technical disciplines effectively to accomplish objectives despite demanding schedules.

  • Create working relationships with Legal, R&D, Quality, Marketing, and Government Relations teams.

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to convey complex regulatory information to a wide range of individuals and audiences with different knowledge levels.

Salary and benefits

The annual salary range is $95,000 - $130,000, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
